Regularly cleaning the cartridge helps remove accumulated dirt and debris.
Before You Begin
Make sure the pump is turned off and the system is depressurized before opening the filter housing.
Cleaning Steps
- Turn off the pump.
- Close the appropriate valves if required.
- Release any pressure from the filter system.
- Open the filter housing according to the equipment instructions.
- Carefully remove the filter cartridge.
- Rinse the cartridge using a garden hose.
- Start at the top of the cartridge and work downward.
- Rinse between the pleats to remove trapped debris.
- Inspect the cartridge for damage.
- Allow the cartridge to drain before reinstalling it.
- Reinstall the cartridge correctly.
- Secure the filter housing.
- Restart the system and check for leaks.
Important
Do not use excessive water pressure that could damage the filter material.
