  • Turn off the pump.
  • Remove the filter lid and take out the cartridge.
  • Rinse the cartridge thoroughly with a garden hose between each pleat.
  • If heavily soiled, soak the cartridge in a filter cleaning solution according to the product instructions.
  • Rinse again and reinstall the cartridge.
  • Reinstall the lid, making sure the O-ring is clean and properly seated.
  • Turn the pump back on and check the pressure gauge.

  • Confirm the normal operating return valves are fully open.
  • Inspect visible return jets for debris or obstruction.
  • Check whether any recently adjusted valve is restricting flow.
  • Restart the system and observe pressure and return flow.

  • Safely relieve all filter pressure.
  • Check whether the gauge needle returns freely to zero.
  • Inspect the gauge for visible damage or a stuck needle.
  • Replace a faulty gauge with the correct compatible part.
