The Clarus PureFill™ CPA-HPF8K Garden Hose Pre-Filter connects directly to a standard garden hose to help reduce sediment, rust, chlorine, and other impurities in your fill water before they enter your pool, spa, or hot tub.
Installation Steps
- Turn off the water supply. Make sure the garden hose faucet is completely turned off before installation.
- Connect the pre-filter. Attach the inlet end of the pre-filter to your garden hose. Hand-tighten the connection until secure.
- Check the flow direction. Make sure the water flows in the direction indicated by the HIGH FLOW → arrow on the filter housing.
- Position the outlet. Place the outlet end of the pre-filter where you want the filtered water to flow, such as into your pool or spa.
- Turn on the water slowly. Gradually open the faucet and check all connections for leaks.
- Begin filling. Once water is flowing properly, continue filling your pool, spa, or hot tub as needed.
Important Tips
- Use cold water only.
- Do not exceed 60 PSI water pressure.
- Avoid overtightening connections.
- Replace the pre-filter when water flow becomes noticeably restricted.
- The pre-filter does not disinfect water or make it safe for drinking.
